These four adaptable families give us some of our best flowering plants for summer and fall. We offer an extensive selection of older favorites and some of the better new selections developed here and abroad.
Althea – Rose-of-Sharon – Single and double-flowered forms in shades of pink, blue, white and lavender. Both tree and shrub forms available.
Buddleia – Butterfly Bush – We offer an extensive selection of both old and new cultivars of this deer- and drought-resistant long-blooming favorite. These superb plants are available in white, blue, purple and pink.
Hydrangea – Our extensive selection includes the new truly hardy blue or pink ‘Blue Billows’, ‘Pop Star’, ‘Tiny Tuff Stuff ’, ‘Tuff Stuff ’; the paniculata cultivars ‘Bobo’, ‘Fire Light’, ‘Firelight Tidbit’,‘Limelight’ ‘Limelight Prime’, ‘Little Lime’, ‘Little Quickfire’, ‘Phantom’, ‘Pink Diamond’, ‘Quickfire’, ‘Quick Fire Fab’, ‘Strawberry Sundae’, ‘Tardiva’; the quercifolia cultivars ‘Ruby Slippers’ and ‘Snow Queen’; and arborescens cultivars ‘Annabelle’, ‘Hayes Starburst’, ‘Incrediball’, ‘Invincible Spirit II’, ‘Limetta’, both tree and shrub form available. Also petiolaris, the climbing hydrangea. Easy to grow and adaptable to a number of sites. Great as both fresh-cut flowers and dried.
Ornamental Grasses – We offer several interesting deer-resistant varieties of Carex, Chasmanthium, Festuca, Hakonochloa, Helictotrichon, Miscanthus, Molinia, Panicum, Pennisetum and Schizachyrium.
