Just when summer starts to fade, colchicums step in with their unexpected charm! Sometimes called autumn crocus(though they’re not true crocuses), these fall-flowering bulbs bring elegant color when most blooms have gone.

Here are 4 standout varieties to add to your garden this season:

🌿 Byzantinum ‘Innocence’
Delicate white blooms with soft lilac-pink streaks—refined and luminous. A graceful addition to borders or under trees.

💗 Pink Star

August is here and the garden is beginning to dance in the late summer palette of purples and golds.

These American natives are buzzing with life, and we are grateful to witness their beauty every season. Adding one (or all of them!) is a gift to the earth and the creatures in your garden, including you.

2. Vernonia noveboracensis, or New York Ironweed, another statuesque beauty, is beginning to unfurl its royal purple blooms
3. Cassia hebecarpa, wild senna, has graceful leguminous foliage and major star power with pollinators
4. Liatris pycnostachya 'Lavender Glowsticks' lights up the back of any border with blooms over 14 inches long
